My first cello.  It’s been set-up for about a month now, but I’ve only now taken some photos of it.  I had a lot of fun making it, and hope to make more.  Now I just have to learn how to play the damn thing.  I can barely get a sound out of it, but some of my classmates can really make it sing. (Btw, for sale.)

The act of paying is perhaps the most uncomfortable infliction that the two orchard thieves entailed upon us. But BEING PAID,—what will compare with it? The urbane activity with which man receives money is really marvellous, considering that we so earnestly believe money to be the root of all earthly ills, and that on no account can a monied man enter heaven. Ah! how cheerfully we consign ourselves to perdition!

Went for a short hike Easter morning.  This is the view from the Avenues twin peaks overlooking downtown Salt Lake City with the Oquirrh mountains to the west.
